Just thought I would give any DPP users a heads up about using Cyberduck FTP program. I downloaded and used Cyberduck, on my MBP, as I needed an FTP program, it seemed to work fine. But when I tried to update my lens profiles in DPP, it was unable to connect to the server? At first I though it might be a server problem, then I found my MacMini system which I had not used Cyberduck on could download the lens data. Luckily I had a clone of my HD from before running Cyberduck, booting from that clone I found DPP worked. So I updated this clone by copying across my Mail folder so all my e-mails were up-to-date.

The only other thing to do was update the documents. Once this was done I then cloned the clone back to my MBP which is what I am using to write this and I have updated the lens data in DPP on it as well. Wd my passport for mac 2tb review.

Howard Moftich wrote: first off, there is a command line FTP client built into OSX so that is usable. You could also try Filezilla as an alternative GUI based client. Most likely, Cyberduck is trying to use active (ie.
Non-passive FTP) protocol which can easily be blocked by every router/firewall. It's EXTREMELY doubtful that Cyberduck is doing what you imply it's doing. Well, DPP stopped being able to download Lens Data after I installed and used Cyberduck, while a clone of the hard drive which was done before Cyberduck was installed worked?
