It allows for syncing mods from Steam to GOG or from its internal Steam Workshop Downloader. If I can manage to catch Ded10c I'll get him to add it to the guides on Steam. I can't post links on GOG forums yet but you can get it or see its source code on my GitHub account 'Nielk1'. Now with EVERY mod I install from The Nexus, I always download manually, unpack, examine the files and folder-structure to be sure it all looks good, then repack, drop into my 'Mods Folder' and then install with NMM. I like this level of control and don't like the idea of Steam installing any mod into my game automatically by 'Subscribing' to.

In your Steam library, select Civilization V and you will see a button labelled 'Browse the Workshop'; Clicking this button will take you to the Steam Workshop, which looks and feels the same as the Steam store in that you can browse through items and download the ones that you want; Once you have found something in the workshop that you wish to download, click on the 'Subscribe' button (big green button similar to the 'Add to Cart' button). This will add the content to your subscriptions list. Some games may require you to restart the game to download subscribed content.

Personally I don't like things being auto-installed on my computer without me knowing why or what they do. My experience with the workshop includes strange bugs when trying to search etc. I am interested in seeing how the workshop performs when there are 1000s of mods. For me the jury is still out, but I suspect the game benefits from the workshop for most users, heck the XLNation Resource category for Cities XXL may be obsolete to be honest and should just be removed.

Not a problem, reason for that is I have just been uploading mods to steam workshop that I know fully work both in XXL and older versions. Pretty much all my mods uploaded here will work in all versions. Only issue so far is a few won't show my transparent furniture objects, like balcony's etc. Wine .exe installer for mac. Is working on a new furniture shader I believe. Plus I don't see the point in uploading all my mods again to a xxl exchange if they already work. Hassle just uploading them to steam!

Click to expand.A Respectful request, If you guys have a mod here @ XLNation that is the 'same/better/completely different/etc.' Or may conflict with the one we download/subscribe to @ Steam and needs to be removed, please, note that in your steam description. Posting the actual name of the mod file would be helpful as well.
